Toxicology Research Facilities
Laboratories of toxicology faculty are located in various departments. Over 5000 sq. ft. of laboratory space and another 1000 sq. ft. for shared equipment are located in the Veterinary Medical Research Building (VMRB). Faculty and students also have access to core facilities and services, including a transgenic animal facility, biostatistics, proteomics and genomics core laboratories, extensive imaging instrumentation and support for a field services chemical/analytical laboratory.
Veterinary Biomedical Education Complex
Opened in 2016, this complex of three buildings—VENI, VIDI, and VICI—houses state-of-the-art classrooms, unique study spaces, communications suites, teaching laboratories, an inviting courtyard, and more. All of these make ideal learning environments for students while providing opportunities for innovative teaching, collaboration, and creativity. It is home to departmental offices as well as the Office of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS).
Libraries
The main Sterling C. Evans Library holds more than 5 million volumes. The library subscribes to thousands of serial titles in addition to numerous state, national and international newspapers. Many databases are available for online searches and interlibrary loans are available from any major library in the country. The Medical Sciences Library holds more than 100,000 volumes in print and microform and subscribes to more than 2,000 serials. Online access is available for literature in the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE, and other database vendors. Recreational Sports
The Student Recreation Center is a 400,000 square foot facility. Students can play racquetball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, squash, handball, badminton, rollerblade, walk or jog, swim, tan, rock-climb, lift weights, play video games, practice martial arts, buy clothes and equipment, attend concerts and relax in a spa in this hi-tech complex. The Penberthy Rec Sports Complex is the outdoor field facility and features grass and turf areas dedicated to drop-in recreation, intramural sports, and sport clubs. Bryan–College Station Community
Texas A&M University lies in east-central Texas in Bryan-College Station (BCS), which together with the university forms a community of over 300,000. It is situated within 100 miles of both Houston and Austin and has commuter airline service to Houston and Dallas.
