Public policy refers to a set of actions the government takes to address issues within society including laws, rules, regulatory measures, judgments, case studies, funding priorities, and government programs. The three types of public policies are restrictive, regulatory, and facilitating policies. There are many toxicologists working in regulatory science who influence public policy.
